A 6-2-4-5-1 progression in C major
A 6-2-4-5-1 progression in C Major
Hello everyone. You’re welcome to another tutorial on chord progressions but this time we’ll be adding a little bit of tritone and diatone to substitute some chords. We’ll be looking at key “C”. The chords we’ll be substituting will be our “2” and our “1” chord. So let’s start.
Remember LH/RH
6- AE/GBCE
2- C#G/ CFA (tritone)
CF#/CEG (passing tritone)
4- CEA/CEG
5- FABE/AbBEG
1-CE/ADG (diatone)
So that’s it. For those who are wondering what’s a tritone and diatone? Tritone is an interval of three whole tones (augmented fourth) as between C and F#.
Diatone is also similar to tritone but this this time it’s an interval of two whole tones as between C and E.
That’s it everyone, hope you enjoyed it. see you next time.
